Kidney

Femistra 1mg Tablet is used in the treatment of breast cancerIt is used with other treatments, such as surgery or radiation, to treat breast cancer in women who have attained menopause.

How to use Femistra Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Femistra 1mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Femistra Tablet works
Femistra 1mg Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.

Common Headache, Hot flushes, Nausea, Skin rash, Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Osteoporosis, Weakness.

Expert advice for Femistra Tablet
Your doctor has prescribed Femistra to treat breast cancer. Femistra lowers estrogen production in your body and reduces the growth of hormone-sensitive tumours. Femistra can be taken with food or on an empty stomach with a glass of water or juice. Nausea (upset stomach) and hot flashes (sudden sweating and feelings of warmth) may occur on starting treatment with Femistra but should go away with time. If nausea is bothersome, take it after meal. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible if it is within 12 hours of the missed dose. If it is more than 12 hours, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
